More than 28,000 of them "The Happy Flower Day Project" was born when she approached a specialty supermarket. She asked what they do with their day-old flowers. She offered to pick them up and take them to hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, shelters, recovery houses and anywhere that people need the healing energy of a free bouquet of beautiful petals and blooms. On her daily rounds, she delivers them to anyone who seems to need cheering up. She even catches people at bus stops, train stations and parking lots.
