1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

في البدء كان الكلمة، والكلمة كان عند الله، وكان الكلمة الله۔

1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

هكذا كان في البدء عند الله۔

1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

كل شيء به كان، وبغيره لم يكن شيء مما كان۔

1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

فيه كانت الحياة، والحياة كانت نور الناس۔

1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

والنور يضيء في الظلمة، والظلمة لم تدركه۔

1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

وكان إنسان مرسل من الله اسمه يوحنا۔

1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

هذا جاء للشهادة ليشهد للنور، حتى يؤمن الكل بواسطته۔

1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

ولم يكن هو النور، بل أرسل ليشهد للنور۔
