The Gift of Wonder

The Gift of Wonder will delight children with its beautiful illustrations and heart-warming message. This book will give librarians, teachers, parents, and children opportunities to talk about the special place animals have in our world and in our lives. Buddy, a young donkey, is chosen by wise Raven to be in the Animal Messenger Parade. This is quite an honor. There are many beautiful animals in the parade. Buddy knows only one animal can be selected to carry the message Raven gives him. After much anticipation Buddy is chosen. Raven leads Buddy away from the other animals to give him a special message for a human. Buddy has many questions and doubts, and wonders how he will ever be able to find a way to do this. Buddy is successful in conveying the message to his human, a young girl, who learns an important lesson about the many gifts animals have to offer.
