The Father Speaks

God our heavenly Father longs to speak to us, to have those open lines of communication with His children. He wants us to get to know Him and the way we know Him is to spend time in His presence. That is when the relationship begins to grow and flourish. It is in these times we discover things about God's character and about ourselves. These discoveries can be frightening, but they can also be very comforting, leading to humble worship and praise. One might call these discoveries new perspectives, but they are not new. They are the timeless truths of God's Word. What is new is our application of them and learning how to discern His will for our lives. And that is the hard part isn't it?
