Unfortunately, unlike her companions, she had planned to return home on the twenty-first, the day an unexpected blizzard slammed the city. She had spoken a vile insult to Mother Nature. She only wanted to go home as late as possible to minimize the amount of time she had to spend with her mother and stepfather, but now there was no way she would make it. Reports predicted that the blizzard will continue for many days, with effects lasting for several more. It's possible that she won't be as lonely as she fears by being the sole student in her dorm.
