Changes and improvements in Thorncastle housing scheme means that there are less children there. One of the two primary schools is going to have to close; either Castlebrae or Thornhill. Jane Goldie is head teacher at Castlebrae and she is determined that her school is not going to be the one that closes. She loves being in charge of a school and is well-established at Castlebrae. Nothing and nobody is going to stop her staying where she is. If that means other people have to suffer, then so be it. there is no limit to how far she will go to hold onto her position: blackmail, drugs, vandalism, sectarianism, sexual favours and even murder are not beyond her. Will her schemes work? Will she be able to stay a head teacher in Thorncastle?
