Maya is a bright and observant third grader who's just learned she's autistic. But school feels complicated, especially when classmates don't seem to understand that autism can look different for everyone.

When a classmate's loud meltdown draws whispers and stares, Maya begins to wonder if she wants to share her diagnosis. With the support of her kind teacher and her thoughtful mom, Maya learns about the Autism Colour Wheel-a way of seeing how everyone's brain is uniquely wired. In a classroom filled with curiosity, courage, and compassion, Maya begins to find her voice-and discovers the strength in being exactly who she is.
