The Calling

Sara Pendleton embarks on a learning vacation at Dearby Castle, located in the north of England near the border with Scotland. She is a student of history and is particularly fascinated with the Warrenton family who once owned this 12th century castle. What started as a trip to a historical reenactment ends with Sara as the guest of honor at the wedding of the 7th Earl of Wakefield. Propelled into the 18th century, Sara must use all of her vast knowledge of 18th century life to navigate daily interactions and to come to terms with her new marriage to the powerful 7th Earl who is fated to meet with tragedy in four short months. Both Sara's life and the history of the family must be rewritten if she is to save the life of the 7th Earl and her own life against unknown assassins.
