The Breach

All his life Maurits has been a street hacker, a scrappy rodent in a big city just trying to get by. But after an attempt to rob the wealthiest corporation in the city, the hacker is richer than he ever imagined. Too bad throwing his credits at escorts and drugs doesn't seem to be making him happy anymore. But when a thief robs the hacker blind, Maurits is forced back into the lawless dangers of the lowest floor. Taking place three years after the events of The Shard, Maurits is forced to form an uneasy truce with an old enemy and to trust a new gang of corporate hackers to keep himself safe. Between unbreakable contracts and assassination attempts, Maurits finds himself sliding deeper and deeper into a complex plot to drive one of the most powerful companies to the ground. As things begin to spiral out of control both in and out of the net, the former street hacker begins to wonder who he can trust in this dangerous world of corporate lies, relentless hackers, and a past that just won't let him go.
