Emma Parker and Morgan Price are Glock-toting, high-kicking divorce lawyers. The intelligent and beautiful pair is not without flaws: Emma can be clumsy and Morgan has a penchant for being involved with Mr. Wrong. These modern women face the familiar dilemma of balancing careers, domesticity, and romance, while trying to maintain some semblance of normalcy in their lives. In the course of investigating a child custody case for their client, Alexander Giovanni regarding his two young daughters, Parker and Price step on the toes of more than one crime syndicate, uncover a murder plot, and lock horns with the F.B.I. The duo meets the challenges with humor, wit, aplomb, and more than a little strip-mall karate studio-acquired kick-boxing. Interspersed with anecdotes from their other family law cases, the tale culminates in an international chase in an attempt to recover the kidnapped Giovanni girls. Unfortunately, Parker and Price are not the only ones in pursuit.
