The Bee and The Firefly

This book is based on real facts. The insects described here represent real people, with feelings and emotions that actually happened. To portray this story, I was used the artistic resource called fable. According to Vigotsky (1999, p. 104), "The fable is one way to transfer knowledge from complex relationships, on everyday life, of human character, in short, of everything that concerns the ethical aspect of human life." The fable is a figurative resource that uses personifications of human characteristics, represented in animals, insects or other symbolic artifacts. These resources become powerful because it can transfer ethics and knowledge to children in a playful way. In addition, the fable serves as a therapy to the writer, because they can externalize moments and feelings, in a simplified art. The fable can transform difficult feelings into acceptable feelings, because it explains the shadow which we have through a colored light.Viviane Schneider is Alan's mother and PhD in Engineering and Knowledge Management from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). She works with research and development of technologies, analysis and data science. She writes children's books for tells Alan about the story of her life in a playful way. In this book "The Bee and the Firefly," Viviane describes in a fable format the love story that occurred between her and Jacob. They have different nationalities, and they taught each other their languages, culture and feelings. between mistakes and hits, came a love that results in their family. Because her child is bilingual, the story is told in Portuguese and English. Thus, both parents can read the story to him. "Every child needs a frame of reference. The children need to know where they came from, and most of all, they need to know who are the people they call parents. That's why I came up with the idea of writing books, to tell Alan who we are." - Says Viviane.Este livro baseado em fatos reais. Neste livro "A Abelha e o Vagalume", Viviane descreve em formato de f bula, a hist ria de amor que ocorreu entre ela e Jacob. Os dois, de nacionalidades diferentes, encontraram-se e ensinaram um ao outro suas linguagens, cultura e sentimentos. Entre erros e acertos, surgiu um amor que resultou na forma o de sua fam lia.
