The Aroma of Brokenness: A Domestic Violence Anthology

Many people ask questions, and some even judge, how someone could WILLINGLY stay around someone who abuses them in any way, shape, or form. What people don't realize is that many of the people who are on the receiving end have had some sort of traumatic experience that they haven't healed from, or they've lacked the love and care that they SHOULD have had. Narcissists prey on the weak, and they have a keen sense of "smell" for the "aroma" of the unhealed person. They're drawn to the brokenness inside others because of their need for power......the ability to control someone else for their benefit. They know exactly who to choose, and before long, they've infiltrated the minds and hearts of their targets, tearing them down piece by piece, until there's nothing left.
