Connie is living an idealized life in Manhattan's Dakota building with the inscrutable Weston family. Connie returns to the Dakota in late June 2000, determined to live the life denied to her. With Dan's attractive, nineteen-year-old-brother, Sam, firmly in her sight, she becomes entangled in a labyrinthine mystery. A love triangle develops when Connie is forced to turn to Anthony, an obsessive computer geek from her past.
