'History repeats itself' they say. If that were so the human race, for its intelligence and ambition, is quite foolish if it constantly repeats past mistakes. The voice of history needs to speak louder into our times, so loudly that we need to feel its breath, know its tone, detect the wisdom that lies in between its lines. What we need is speak to people in history for ourselves. That is exactly what the main character of this book does. He awakens his heroes of near, middle, and ancient past in order to understand the events and state of affairs of his time, including a referendum, matters of society, religion and science, and even security.
