Thanatographies is a multi-genre prose collection that blends fiction and speculative biography. Four sections--"Room," "Night," "Medusas," and "Burials"--sketch the afterlife of intimacies and histories as wakeful presences permeating language. Each section paints a portrait of women not during the years of war, ruin, flight, silence, murder, but in its aftermath.
