There are several excellent works on systematic theology, all of them translated from English, but this is the first theology textbook written by a Latin American author whose stated intent is to offer a distinctly Latin American focus. In this book Raul Zaldivar, in addition to analyzing the history of theological thought in Latin America, also defines the distinctive orientation of Latin American theological perspectives for each theological category.
