Beskrivelse

Talker is a story of online and offline drama, intrigue and conspiracy. It follows the real and virtual lives of characters in a world where people choose their own digital post-death future. The world, resembling our own in many respects, is neither here nor now. It may simply be seen as another quantum reality or a possible future. It is a world where safety, security and the politically correct are maximized to the absurd. The technologically minded have access to an online world where they can pick a religion-based 'afterlife' or new-age 'otherlife'. They can then further pick an avatar of any gender, age or physical appearance and visit this Afterlife-Otherlife while alive, and then permanently reside there in avatar form upon death. The avatars live on eternally, surviving the humans that create them. Online and offline existence are both heavily supervised and controlled by The Org. Safety and wellbeing are the stated concerns of Org in the offline world where 'talkers' are provided to ensure face to face social connection for those that spend most of their time in the offline world of non-techs, the aged, and what are considered to be the losers of society.

Talker is a fantasy, a comment on society and a comedy that should be enjoyed with humor!
