In the summer of 1877 Andy Weikert and a group of his Helena friends decided to tour the newly founded Yellowstone Park. Unfortunately they were swept up in the wake of the Nez Perce as the tribe fled General Howard. Ambushed, wounded, and exhausted they struggled to emerge from the park alive. Not all succeeded.
