Stephen Cross, of Ipswich, and Elizabeth Cheney, of Newbury, both in Massachusetts Bay Colony, married in 1672 and lived in Ipswich. This book tells the story of their lives. It is a mixture of genealogy, family history, and biography. Stephen was a coastal mariner, Elizabeth kept the home. They were an average colonial family, both born in Massachusetts to parents who had emigrated there from England. Included are Stephen's many days in court and three seafaring adventures he was part of. Also Included is a brief account of Stephen's and Elizabeth's children and grandchildren.
