Heidi sold her big tech company and is now one of the wealthiest women around, doing good works for the community. But she's so unlucky in love that her sisters decide they are going to send her application into I Married a Stranger, a popular reality television series.

Surfboard shaper Chris Kelly has been alone for a solid year with zero desire to get involved after discovering his fiancée cheated on him. His employees tell him it's time to get out there and date again, but when he balks, they encourage him to apply to; you guessed it; I Married a Stranger.

They are picked for the program. Disappointment fills the air on wedding day as Heidi and Chris find out that their chosen mates are not the love matches they had hoped for, resulting in a series of mishaps.
