SMOKING HAZARDS:

This book deals with Adolescence, which is a period of exploration and experimentation, but young people often lack the knowledge, experience and maturity to avoid the grave risks that confront them. Adolescents are facing so many problems during this period namely physiological problems such as accidents, nutritious problems and psychological problems such as depression and substance abuse. The use of tobacco, alcohol and drugs is increasing among adolescents. It is important for parents, school personnel and health care providers to make information available concerning the ¿risk¿ in using these addictive substances. Public health efforts have been directed to reduce the prevalence of smoking habits and smoking related disease, among adolescents.
