Settlement forts were built. The cavalry was called in to protect the citizens and fight the Indians. Fort Boise military post and the town of Boise (Boise City) were established. As one Indian War was put down, another rose up. The Indians lost to the white man. Finally, the Amerindians were forced onto Federal reservation
