Sharing The Secret

All around us, many girls and young women, as well as boys and young men are silently suffering because they were physically , emotionally and sexually abused as children, but they are reluctant to share their story and their secret as they are embarassed. We still live with the taboo and stigma for people with emotional problems. Some survivors are experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression, even suicidal ideas, because they have repressed their painful memories of past abuse.

Over the years I have met many therapist who are reluctant to work with patients with a history of sexual abuse.

I hope Jamie's story inspires young women and men to receive therapy and young therapist to help them, so that they can heal and grow, and lead a happy, healthy, and peaceful life that we call Green Zone Living.
