Tariq bin Ziyad was a Great Muslim general who led the Islamic conquest of Visigothic Hispania (Spain) in 711-718 A.D. He led an army on north coast of Morocco, consolidating his troops at a large hill now known as Gibraltar, meaning "mountain of Tariq." The book is selected in the process of Ihyaa al Turath al Arabi fil Mahjar (Revival of Arab Heritage in Diaspora project under: Shakhsiyyat Islamiyyah-Islamic Personalities series sponsored by the Arab American Encyclopedia for the purpose of serving young Arab generations in Diaspora. The Publisher author is an Arab Palestinian scholar. His interest is providing knowledge about Arab Muslim literature and civilization. He authored and published tens of books. Dr. Yahya resides in Michigan, USA, has four children and ten grandchildren.
