The 1920's were a vastly changing time in America. Prohibition was in its infancy, the first commercial radios were in use, and the economy was booming. For Ellie Grace, a young black maid for a powerful family in Maryville Mississippi, an infatuation with one of the most influential men in the South would end in intrigue and murder. In the wake of the controversy three families would be forever changed with a child left searching for answers.
