Serendipity

Sarah Prendergast attends high school just outside Cincinnati. She's a pretty, normal suburban kid, living a pretty normal life-until her dad creates something new at Consolidated Chemicals. Serendipity's a psychochromatic compound, capable of revealing a person's state of mind through a series of brilliant color shifts, like a mood ring on steroids. The dramatic, thought-evoking colors are an overnight sensation... that is, until the riots start. From schoolyard scuffles and barroom brawls, to road rage and stadium stampedes, things get so out of hand that the government steps in. Which turns out to be far worse. Realizing that he's inadvertently opened Pandora's box, her dad sets out to destroy his own creation, and Sarah finds herself in the middle of it all.
