Self-Managing Distributed Systems

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 14th IFIP/IEEE International Workshop on Distributed Systems: Operations and Management, DSOM 2003, held in Heidelberg, Germany in October 2002.

The 20 revised full papers and 6 revised short papers presented together with a keynote paper were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 105 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on self-configuration, peer-to-peer management, self-optimization and performance management, utility management, self-protection and access control, manageability and instrumentation, and context-awareness.
