After the apocalypse, the flight.

 

The ocean world is gripped by a pandemic that annihilates everything in its wake. In a desperate act to save their species a remnant of survivors is launched into the depths of space. Frozen in cryo-sleep, they would only awaken if their ship detected a habitable planet. But there was no sanctuary, and they continued into the cold and dark.

 

Centuries later Earth's dream of finding her sister planet has come true, and it was free for the taking. But buried in the ruins of what was once a mighty civilization, evidence of the original inhabitant's desperate mission is found.

 

Two species are about to collide and the stakes are as high as they can ever be. They tried to hide from certain death. Now it's time to find them.
