Dieser Band ist den psychologischen und theologischen Grundlagen der Seelsorge, der Erörterung ihrer therapeutischen und religiösen Dimension sowie der Entfaltung einer interdisziplinären Praxis gewidmet. Neben den Monographien Angst und Glaube sowie Das Leib-Seele-Problem in theologischer Sicht (Teil I und II) werden 18 Einzelbeiträge Haendlers neu bzw. erstmals ediert, eingeleitet und kommentiert. Teil III spiegelt Haendlers Einfluss auf die Prämissen und Perspektiven der Poimenik wider; Teil IV erörtert spezielle theoretische und praktische Fragen. Haendler entwickelt seine Seelsorgelehre im intensiven Dialog u. a. mit theologischen und psychologischen Konzeptionen seiner Zeit, so dass dieser Band auch zur Spurensicherung des entsprechenden Diskurses im 20. Part III deals with Haendler''s influence on the premises and perspectives of pastoral care, Part IV with more specific theoretical and concrete practical questions.Since Haendler has throughout his life endeavoured to develop a theologically and psychologically convergent pastoral doctrine, this volume is also a contribution to the documentation of the corresponding discourse in the 20th century.
