Sapphire Dreams

This is a collection of Graeme's most recent poetry, dealing with the universal themes of love and loss, leaving and returning. These lyrical, song-like, imagistic poems with their driving rhythms use concrete detail to create a poignant and powerful atmosphere. Many of the poems make original use of the sonnet form to create a tight, effective and evocative sense of place and time. Originally from Scotland, Graeme Barrie studied English Literature at Dundee University. He now lives in the North west of England and is an active member of several writing and poetry groups.
