Beskrivelse

To most people, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (or Mounties as they are affectionately called in Canada) are one of the defining stereotypically Canadian symbols that define Canada as a nation to the rest of the world. With their big red coats, famous Stetson hats, and brown leather riding boots, even they must admit that their dress uniforms look distinguished, and their official motto of "Maintain the Right," or alternately, "Maintain the Law," has guided them since there inception in 1873.

It is this motto that Corporal Rusty has always had on his Stetson hat badge pin shortly after he, his horse Rex and his first dog Constable Rin Tin-Tin the Great who were found after being orphaned in a wagon accident back on October 1st, 1873. Since then, Corporal Rusty has grown-up as a Mountie in the entirely fictitious place of Fort Johnston, North-West Territories, (in modern-day Saskatchewan.)

So, join Corporal Rusty and the other Mounties on their as they deal with both new challenges and also new adventures as they ride the rim of the British Empire out on the Western Canadian frontier between 1882 and 1886. All the while, they are trying to help bring and also keep peace, law, order, justice, and good government for the citizens of the North-West Territories of the Dominion of Canada, before, during, and after the North West Rebellion of 1885.

"This insurrection is a bad business, but we must deal with it as best we may. The first thing to be done is to localise the insurrection." (Sir John A. Macdonald on responding to the North West Rebellion in 1885.)
