Rush to Win

This is a true story of an on, off and on again campaign between a young populist who ran against an establishment backed candidate. The setting is a major city with clashes between single family neighborhoods and commercial real estate developers, battles over budgets and tax rates and traffic congestion, typical of a central city surrounded by suburbs. This book shares inside aspects of building a team and developing strategies. It also describes interactions among partisan forces in a non-partisan campaign. It encourages young people to get involved in politics on the state and local level and gives them pointers on how to succeed. It's a story of how determination overcame many obstacles including the fallout from a yard sign caper that when awry.
