Beskrivelse
Set in Vancouver, Canada, Running on an Angle is the fast-paced story of a website designer who has gained 100 pounds and lost her sense of balance. She has arthritis in her knees, osteoporosis in her spine and 70% lung function. Her balance is so bad she pitches sideways into hedges just walking down the street. And then she learns she has a brain tumour. Out of sheer desperation, she begins weight lifting and core strength training, then adds urban pole walking. A year later she signs up to run a 5K race, although she has no idea how far 5K is. Told with candor and humor, Running on an Angle follows her struggle to run a three-mile race in Stanley Park. Her autistic daughter supplies a delightful counter-balance with her moral support and encouragement.
