Roots of Self-Mastery

This little book, much like the pamphlets issued during Dr. Carver's day, is an instructional guide for developing character in our young. Tuskegee Institute is an historical landmark on the journey for freedom and the quest to obtain an education for Black people in America. It has a worldwide reputation for gifting humanity with creative geniuses like Dr. Carver and Booker T. Washington, and these 2 men, along with many others, are agents to the birth of dreams of many young people who continue to travel the distance to become a part of the magnificent "Tuskegee Experience." Using Dr. Carver's history as context, the author tells the story of how Tuskegee's influence helped shape her own character and taught lifelong lessons that have made a difference to her life. This book is intended to be used by students, parents and educators alike to learn about a significant time in our history and to provide essential tools that will help guide our children to the place within themselves where futures are shaped.
