Food reporter Liza Dunnigan wants to shake up her practical, predictable life. So she impulsively goes after an assignment to get an interview with reclusive love advice columnist, Cordelia. Problem is, Cordelia never gives interviews; and the only way to reach her is through her publicist, Jack Graham, a notorious playboy. 

So Liza makes contact with Jack under the guise of applying for a job. Soon she's interested in more than just a story. And though Jack has no intentions of settling down, there's something about Liza that makes him start to reconsider.

But Jack is hiding a secret that could ruin his reputation if it ever got out. And Liza is marching down on the scoop of a decade. So where does she turn for advice when she realizes blowing this story wide open means she'll lose the man of her dreams?
