Beskrivelse

It's rumored that Jim Morgan has killed more men than the years of his life. The only man who can shoot accurately from atop a moving stage with a rifle, he's left many an outlaw's corpse to feed the crows. Now, mere weeks after a bullet wound to the chest, Jim heads to St. Louis guarding the stage carrying those most dear to him. With the knowledge bandit leader Carlos has targeted him, Jim prepares for battle.

As the stage heads into Indian Territory to save time on the trip, the travelers face destruction from unexpected sources. Jim's reputation leads to challenges from those whom the travelers should most trust, forcing Jim to fight for his survival and that of his friends.

Jim senses something has awakened within him, a malevolent force churning in the dark fathoms of his soul. Haunted by memories of his past and suffering from the strain of constant vigilance, Jim struggles to retain his sense of self, as a feeling of foreboding gnaws at him. He is unaware that the dread in the pit of his stomach is founded, for his most formidable enemy is in pursuit and only a day behind.
