The Rise and Fall of the British Empire is a full show of the history of the British from the Elizabethan Age to the late 20th century. The first part of the book praised the early adventurers&epos; contribution for the British and hard work of migrators from generation to generation. The second part mainly told the maintenance of the country and the fights with other countries, and finally opened the hegemony for hundreds of years of the British with the success of the Napoleonic wars. The third part told the story from the 19th century of the prime period of the British to the First World War. The fourth part told the performance of the British in the two World wars, and was the opening of the decline. The fifth part told the hard work for maintaining the British after the war and the storyof its end. The whole book is attractive and sets people thinking, and we can not only feel the rise and fall of the British, but also can deeply know the development trend of the world history, is a historical book which is worth expecting.
