Rewrite This Tragedy

Melissa and Mike and their young family were out hiking in a rocky gorge in the Hocking Hills of Ohio one fall day when the unthinkable happened. A tree branch fell, striking four-year-old Mia head-on. As Mike came toward her carrying their apparently lifeless youngest daughter, Melissa's first thought was that she was gone ... her beautiful baby girl had gone to be with Jesus.



Then Mia gave out a scream, and hope began to rise. She's alive. Mia is still alive! Melissa cradled her and prayed as Mike ran up the trail for help while Mia lapsed in and out of consciousness and seemed to be dying. Then Melissa remembered the desperate woman in the Bible who touched the hem of Jesus's garment and was made well. She prayed urgently, over and over, "I believe you can heal our daughter. Please, Jesus, heal our daughter."
