Resolution

In Torn, young Father Stan fell in love with Malika, a captivating Jordanian woman. While working on Vatican business in Rome and Jordan, he consummated a steamy summer affair never to be forgotten. Chastened by nagging guilt after breaking his vow of celibacy to God and the church, Father Stan returned to America contrite and recommitted to the orderly life of a parish priest and the abstract goal of being "a priest forever." Would a renewed vow of celibacy withstand the challenge of this young man's love and lust for this intelligent, passionate woman? The goal will be tested in Resolution, when circumstances converge to bring Malika and Father Stan together again. Two vexing mysteries carried over from Torn continue to haunt Father Stan and his team of investigators-the ossuary with the inscription "Mary, Mother of Jesus" and the first century scrolls hidden in the Vatican's Secret Library. Are the bones in the ossuary really those of the Holy Virgin Mary? The same Mary that church doctrine claims couldn't exist because Mary's physical body was taken up into heaven at the moment of her death? And those scrolls Are they really the diary of Jesus? Will the scrolls fill in the void of Jesus' "lost years" between the age of 12 and 30? Resolution will answer these questions, and as a bonus, reveals an additional startling discovery.
