This second book in the series continues on with characters from the first book - Dwight Braxton, Sheriff Ford, Matthew Hollister, Pastor Banter, and James Wakefield - and the addition of some new characters in the nearby town of Pine Valley. In their eyes, Ray Williams is a legend both as a lawman and as a Christian with a purpose. They often quote him and think of what he would do in their on-going warfare with outlaws. This book has gunfights aplenty, intrigue, romance, people coming to Christ, and a quest to do the right things for the right reasons with Jesus as their cornerstone.
