Reflections of Ecological Concern in Modern Spanish Literature

Since the 19th century Spanish authors have made statements of concern about the deterioration of ecological conditions in Spain. They have issued such statements not only in articles and essays but also in creative works like novels, stories, and poems. Studied from our present perspective, these ongoing observations constitute a harbinger of events to come. The present book reviews and analyzes the ecological comments of Spanish authors over the past century and compares them with the relevant scientific literature of today.
