It begins with me.standing in a room alone Watching the torch of mother's life fade Then flicker.and finally extinguish Watching as time slips by.the past and future Forming two concentric rings, slowly spinning Witnessing this specter Mother's life now a vapor, thoughts flowed together Like the unceasing waves of the ocean Crashing upon the shore. I had an epiphany of sorts.
