An epistolary novel between the narrator, Ari Luzzato, and his first great love, Ren? Luciole. Ren? had rejected Ari since his coming out, but Ari chose to continue to write to Ren? throughout his life without having ever sent a single letter to his lost love. After the last letter, a friend who found them decided to organise them chronologically and to make a collection thereof, supposedly a posthumous publication according to the clues of the last correspondence. Ari Lucas originally wrote the book in French and was also the translator of the novel into English and Spanish.
