In contrast to secular commentaries, this work treats the Book of Zechariah as the Word of God. It's cross-referenced to Old Testament prophets, especially Ezekiel. It is repeatedly shown to contain many messianic prophecies, and it is equally cross-referenced to the New Testament. The book begins with a summary of Zechariah's present time and continues through his prophecies of a future destruction of Jerusalem. Zechariah is considered a "minor prophet," mainly because of the length of his work, but his words are anything but minor.
