Alison is on the up. Her bloody divorce is behind her, her new man Archie has brought her and her daughter, Lauren, to the idyllic island of Nevis in the Caribbean for some winter sun. Life doesn't get much better. Then it happens. That face from the past, the affair that never quite finished, goodbyes that were never said. John was the love of her life once and now he's staying in the room next to Alison on Nevis. It's all just too tempting. Of course this isn't Alison's only problem. Her daughter simply can't bear to breathe the same air as Archie and as Lauren is a strong minded teenager she just has to tell him, at every opportunity. Some holiday this is turning out to be.
