Beskrivelse
Toy is a twelve year old boy stranded on a giant Ferris wheel when the ocean suddenly rises. Alone, he must learn to survive with the only source of food being the massive carpet of water bottles and candy packages floating on the surface of the water. Plastic containers abound. He cannot swim, he's afraid of heights, and he uncontrollably delves into flashbacks of his short life for answers to his unique predicament. What happened to Momndad waiting for him at the base of the ride, which Toy had to be coerced into getting on, is one of the story's central mysteries. And then, one morning he meets a large swan let loose from one of the rides in the amusement park, who Toy names Cyril, and their difficult adventure begins.
