This book is built around the basic notion that Business Strategy is “the art and science of meeting your competitors on the market battlefield under advantageous conditions”.  It is a book that gives the reader two one page forms that describe the market battlefield and exactly what strategy and tactics will be used to accomplish the user’s strategic objective. Unlike many other books on business strategy, written by educators and consultants, that offer elaborate theories on the subject, this book offers step by step guidance that results in a working plan of action. It introduces the concepts of market focused strategic planning through three actual business case studies that apply the QuickStrategytm methods. It supplements the case studies with two chapters on the underlying theory of strategic planning followed by a chapter describing why some strategies succeed and others fail. The Appendix gives step by step guidance to the process of developing a two page business strategy that positions the readers business on their market battlefields under advantageous conditions.
