It is a true story narrating his memorable decades living in Riverside, California, and his quest to acquire 640 acres of useless desert land known as Section 30. Matthew Gage's fame stemmed from building a unique irrigation canal that became the impetus to Riverside's title, "Home of the Navel Orange." Thousands of acres were planted in citrus trees and flourished because of the Gage Canal. Riverside was destined to be more of a paradise because of his canal system.
