This book includes biochemical and immunological properties of carcinoembryonic antigen and their receptors in mammary adenocarcinoma and benign tissues .Also this book is mainly designed to study the following .(1)Evaluation of the clinical value of preoperative serum tumor markers such as CA15-3 and CEA in the diagnosis of breast cancer were carried out .These tumor markers were measured preoperatively in patients . The CEA was measured and found out to be elevated in 44% of patients with patients of of breast cancer .CEA showed equal specificity and lower sensitivity compared with CA15-3 (2) A method of IRMA for cytosolic CEA was developed and found to be suitable assesment in mammary tumors .(3) A method was developed for purification and identification of human CEA from metastatic tumor (4)A new method of solid phase radioimmuno assay was established to measure CEA in sera
