Pretty Pride

1887 At auction, Leif Kenyon bid and won the beautiful, bursting-with-potential Pretty Homestead, the perfect property for his saw-mill. His bid, however, comes with unforeseen, knotty strings attached: one bitter, fiery, prickly red-head, Zola Pretty, and her sullen, teenage brother, Forest. Leif's first and immediate problem, how to save face and reputations among the close-knit community of Pretty Dale? Solution: immediately take Zola as his wife. Who can deny Zola her outrage, her humiliation at being reduced to the status of domestic help, her brother a farm hand, and an offer of marriage in one day. Circumstances chafe.
